Job Description

This role involves leading cost and benchmarking analysis to support operational performance assessments of production assets in the metals industry. Based in Boston, you will work with the MetalLens team to provide strategic business intelligence and improve client operations through data analytics.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in metals (steel, aluminum, copper, zinc or others), engineering, metallurgy or related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in the metal industry with a focus on production, process engineering, continuous improvement, technical consulting or maintenance
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills with proficiency in business software (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint) and advanced analytical packages
  • Significant understanding of the industry dynamics of the metal sector
  • Passion for analytics and interest in developing new approaches to metal data analysis and application to operational improvement
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work in English (other languages also welcome)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct cost and benchmarking analysis for production assets globally
  • Present insights and benchmarking results to clients
  • Drive business development efforts to generate and maintain client relationships
  • Contribute to the development of innovative approaches to metals industry data analytics
  • Participate in hiring activities and mentor junior colleagues
  • Coordinate and plan external events and knowledge initiatives
