Job Description

The PEAK Program at Tesla offers early career engineers a chance to enhance their skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Participants will engage in various engineering roles, focusing on process, quality, equipment, controls, or test engineering to optimize production lines at Tesla's Fremont facility.

Requirements

Include resume with graduation year for fulltime availability (Must be available to start work onsite at Tesla Fremont, California, in May to September 2026)
Three examples of exceptional engineering ability from university projects, internships, work experience, hobbyist experience, or equivalent
Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
Previous internship in a manufacturing and/or industrial automation environment, 6+ months experience preferred
Ability to work onsite at Fremont, California facility in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Analyze and refine production processes to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in cost effective means while driving to achieve quality levels aligned with Six Sigma (6σ) principles
Support development of manufacturing processes, equipment, controls and test plans to address risks identified through FMEA
Manage and facilitate identifying the root cause & corrective actions of issues through brainstorming, use of lean methodologies, hypothesis testings, design of experiments, etc.
Troubleshoot and optimize Tesla’s world-class manufacturing equipment through a variety of hands-on learning surrounding automation, including but not limited to Robotics, and PLC programming labs
Using advanced project management and statistical techniques taught in this program, you will bring significant impact to your engineering team and present your results to factory leadership
