Job Description

Netflix is seeking a Solutions Support Engineer to enhance the software delivery infrastructure and tooling for its internal developer community. The role involves monitoring customer requests, troubleshooting issues, automating support needs, and improving engineering support experiences.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in support or engineering roles, with a strong focus on delivery, observability, and cloud technologies
  • Extensive experience with leading CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
  • Strong understanding of how to design, implement, manage, and support deployment pipelines
  • Experience with containers and AMI creation, utilizing tools like Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm
  • Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex issues in distributed systems
  • Experienced in utilizing observability platforms for metrics, logs, and tracing
  • Familiarity with programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Javascript, or Python
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of version control tools, particularly GitHub
  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior engineering support across a complex organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Experience in developing tools and scripts to automate processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for creating technical documentation and tutorials
  • Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies quickly

Responsibilities

  • Support the Delivery Engineering team in monitoring and handling customer requests
  • Troubleshoot and solve issues related to software delivery infrastructure
  • Automate support needs and develop runbooks
  • Improve and maintain support tools and documentation
  • Understand product offerings and continuously seek improvements in engineering support
  • Drive collaboration efforts to reduce product friction and increase usability
