Job Description

EY is seeking a Real Estate Tax Senior Manager to provide strategic tax advice and manage complex tax operations for a diverse client base. The role involves leading teams, building client relationships, and developing tailored tax strategies in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
  • A CPA certification or be a member of a state bar.
  • Seven to ten years' of real estate tax experience, within a professional services environment.
  • Extensive knowledge in a broad range of real estate tax technical and transaction skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, people and projects.
  • Business development within the market.
  • Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
  • Strong influencing skills, and the confidence to question existing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing an evolving portfolio of increasingly complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
  • Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients.
  • Learning and researching current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
  • Building client relationships and demonstrating deep knowledge of the real estate, hospitality and construction industry.
  • Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve clients' tax activities.
  • Researching clients' business operations and building long-lasting relationships to tailor advice to their specific needs.
  • Supervising a motivated team of professionals, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.
