Job Description

EY is seeking a highly motivated Manager Supply Chain Consultant to support government clients in transforming their supply chain organizations. The role involves delivering professional services, participating in business development, and providing insights into supply chain transformation across various areas such as procurement and logistics.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and approximately five years of related work experience; or a master's degree in Supply Chain or related field and approximately four years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum of four years relevant experience in providing advisory services to federal clients in supply chain and other operational areas
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in preparing written or verbal materials, presenting project results to clients, leading a team, providing formal feedback
  • Knowledge and experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, spend analysis, total cost of ownership analysis, supplier risk management, cost analysis, modeling and/or optimization
  • Ability to obtain and maintain at least a secret clearance or higher

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships
  • Identify potential business opportunities for EY, with guidance from partners, directors and senior managers
  • Develop proposal content and support in the development of thought leadership
  • Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
  • Create innovative insights for clients and adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs
  • Manage project schedules, drive projects to completion and confirm that work is of a high quality
  • Anticipate, identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
