Job Description

Netflix is seeking an Observability Engineer to enhance the visibility and reliability of its applications. This role involves collaborating with engineers to build tools and infrastructure that provide actionable insights, ensuring the Netflix service operates smoothly.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in Java or Scala, and comfortable working with Python.
Strong background in at least one of the following: observability engineering or distributed systems.
Implementing critical platform infrastructure services for large-scale systems.
Confident leading operational improvements, support, automation, and ease of life enhancements.

Responsibilities

Partner with engineers across Netflix to build tools and infrastructure.
Enable fellow engineers to gather timely and actionable insights.
Work on foundational services relied upon by 3500 engineers.
Combine many observability signals into usable, actionable insights.
