Job Description

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President in Research to conduct in-depth research on quantitative investment strategies, focusing on cash equity and equity derivatives. The role involves collaborating with clients, utilizing proprietary datasets, and authoring detailed research publications.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computational Finance, Quantitative Finance, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Three years of experience as an Associate, Research Analyst, Quantitative Researcher, or a closely related occupation
  • Three years of experience with Python, R, or Matlab; Signal Research; Statistical Testing; Probability Theory; Python Plotting; and Excel
  • Two years of experience with Factor Model; Machine Learning; Regression Analysis; Option Pricing; Stochastic Calculus; Asset Allocation; Portfolio Construction; Portfolio Optimization; Risk Attribution; Risk Control Using Models; Accounting; Financial Valuation; Report Writing; and presenting research to Stakeholders
  • One year of experience programming with kdb+ and Q

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth and rigorous research on quantitative investment strategies
  • Partner with clients to deliver bespoke research solutions
  • Utilize proprietary datasets to design, back test, and refine investment strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate researched quantitative investment strategies
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews
  • Author detailed research publications
  • Collaborate with structurers, quant developers, and sales to productionize strategies
  • Provide expert knowledge in quantitative investment strategies
