Job Description

Tesla's Supplier Industrialization team is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee component development and qualification activities at suppliers. The role involves collaboration with internal and external teams, traveling to suppliers, and making critical decisions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components for production.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management
Technical & commercial understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes
Experience with mechanical engineering concepts related to the commodity
Proficient knowledge of technical requirements & design of the product

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, and conduct industrialization related activities within the supply chain team
Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers
Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations
Guide suppliers in developing robust processes and procedures for high-quality production
Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes
