Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Development Engineer to drive innovation in manufacturing processes. The role involves collaborating with hardware teams and suppliers to implement advanced fabrication techniques and ensure product excellence.

Requirements

8+ years of related experience.
A bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A master's degree is a plus.
Validated mechanical/thermal architecture mentality, expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and 2D drawing.
Good understanding of commonly used equipment in manufacturing, familiar with electrical or electro-mechanical components.
In-depth mechanical/thermal background with a track record in engineering design, manufacturing, or product quality engineering.
Effective problem-solving skills, technical and quality critical, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data proficiently.
Knowledgeable in DFM, DFA, DFx, manufacturing cost breakdown, and accurately predicting production performance.
Proficiency in CAD software, with Creo preferred, excellent written and verbal soft skills, and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

Provide end-to-end manufacturing assembly process solutions, including DFX.
Identify, assess, and apply risk mitigation strategies, leading investigations of issues.
Review contract manufacturer readiness, develop assembly fixtures and jigs.
Gather feedback through DFx, yield issues, and repair center activities to improve workflow efficiency.
Assess automation capabilities, propose waste reduction and cost optimization.
Coordinate the purchase of special equipment, materials, and other parts.
Guide suppliers in optimizing manufacturing process parameters.
Evaluate CEM technology capabilities and recommend optimal assembly strategies.
