Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Development Engineer to drive innovation in manufacturing processes. The role involves collaborating with hardware teams and suppliers to implement advanced fabrication techniques and ensure product excellence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A master's degree is a plus.
  • Validated mechanical/thermal architecture mentality, expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and 2D drawing.
  • Good understanding of commonly used equipment in manufacturing, familiar with electrical or electro-mechanical components.
  • In-depth mechanical/thermal background with a track record in engineering design, manufacturing, or product quality engineering.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, technical and quality critical, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data proficiently.
  • Knowledgeable in DFM, DFA, DFx, manufacturing cost breakdown, and accurately predicting production performance.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with Creo preferred, excellent written and verbal soft skills, and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end manufacturing assembly process solutions, including DFX.
  • Identify, assess, and apply risk mitigation strategies, leading investigations of issues.
  • Review contract manufacturer readiness, develop assembly fixtures and jigs.
  • Gather feedback through DFx, yield issues, and repair center activities to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Assess automation capabilities, propose waste reduction and cost optimization.
  • Coordinate the purchase of special equipment, materials, and other parts.
  • Guide suppliers in optimizing manufacturing process parameters.
  • Evaluate CEM technology capabilities and recommend optimal assembly strategies.
