Job Description

The Virtualization Core Platform team at Microsoft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on foundational components of the virtualization stack, including the hypervisor and kernel. The role involves designing and coding solutions for core virtualization technologies, collaborating with silicon partners, and driving cross-organizational initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and security.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

Design and implement new virtualization related features for Azure, Windows, and Hyper-V
Lead initiatives that help define the next generation of virtualization
Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers
Learn and share ideas continuously
Drive for quality in everything you do and continuously improve the quality of the systems on which you work
Provide technical input across the Azure and Windows teams
