Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to develop innovative solutions for creators, enhance their success on the platform, and provide actionable insights to senior leaders. The role involves collaborating with various teams to design analytics tools and define data strategies for creator-related data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
  • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative solutions to address creator needs and boost their success on Amazon
  • Partner with Business, Marketing, Product, and Technical teams to design and maintain scalable, user-friendly analytics tools
  • Provide actionable insights to senior leaders, informing strategies in critical areas such as creator compensation and monetization; creator satisfaction; marketing segmentation; content quality
  • Help define our data acquisition and intelligence strategy for creator-related data
  • Tackle challenging problems that directly impact millions of creators and customers
