Morgan Stanley is seeking a Global Financial Crimes FIRCO Continuity Specialist at the Vice President level to oversee the firm's sanctions screening and financial crime controls. The role involves ensuring operational resilience of FIRCO systems, conducting root-cause analysis, and collaborating with various teams to enhance detection and compliance with regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in sanctions screening, AML screening operations, or financial crime technology roles
- Experience with List Management and testing initiatives involving sanctions regulatory lists
- Experience conducting or overseeing system testing and tuning in a financial institution
- Background in due diligence, corporate intelligence, or KYC/AML preferred
- Strong understanding of sanctions programs and AML/KYC principles
- Familiarity with screening models, fuzzy matching algorithms, and data quality controls
- Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and Fircosoft tools
- Excellent communication skills for producing clear summaries for senior stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across regions and business units
- High attention to detail and structured approach to documentation
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily health checks, continuity controls, and performance monitoring for FIRCO platforms
- Maintain configuration libraries, watchlists, hotlists, and filter settings
- Conduct root-cause analysis of system failures and false positive spikes
- Monitor and report on sanctions screening coverage in line with the firm's risk appetite
- Support development, testing, and deployment of screening rules and filter logic
- Manage test data creation, scenario validation, and regression testing
- Prepare summaries and status reporting for senior management and governance forums
- Partner with GFC SMEs, Sanctions Compliance, AML IT, Operations, and Business Units
- Manage an effective team of functional specialists overseeing the FIRCO tool
