Job Description

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Global Financial Crimes - Client Risk Unit Professional at the Director (AVP) level. This role involves reviewing enhanced due diligence for high-risk clients, analyzing corporate structures, and ensuring compliance with financial crime regulations. The position is critical in safeguarding the integrity of the financial system and requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Ability to interact in a mature and professional manner
  • General knowledge of investing and markets
  • Excellent judgment, initiative, and adherence to deadlines
  • Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese desired but not required
  • Certification as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist by ACAMS or equivalent AML certification/license within first 15 months of employment

Responsibilities

  • Review enhanced due diligence for both new and existing higher risk clients
  • Analyze and escalate financial crimes negative news as necessary
  • Determine and provide guidance on the appropriate client risk ranking
  • Review client accounts for potential matches to designated sanctions targets
  • Engage various third-party and internal databases for due diligence searches
  • Develop an understanding of anti-money laundering regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Provide guidance on policy and procedures to various stakeholders
  • Conduct trainings to various stakeholders
