This role is based in Boston as part of McKinsey’s Life Sciences and Private Capital Client Capability Network. You will collaborate with experts in Med-tech, R&D, and Biotech to deliver insights for Private Equity clients, focusing on due diligence and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a consistent outstanding academic record; master’s degree in business, finance, economics, econometrics or a related field is a plus
- Background in business, marketing, economics, finance, engineering, public health or life sciences preferred
- 1+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, CRO, CDMO, Biotech or MedTech operations, R&D topics, or commercial topics
- Demonstrated research experience in an academic or business setting is preferred
- Foundational knowledge of due diligence or demonstrated experience/interest in the same
- Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to structure a problem and recommend solutions
- Ability to accomplish work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
- Professional attitude, work standards and service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of financial, economic and general business concepts and terminology
- Experience in leveraging digital (analytical) tools preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver standardized modules on Life Sciences due diligence, such as B2B/BTC surveys and competitive landscape through expert led insights
- Build, maintain, and manage the Life Sciences Private capital knowledge assets in digital formats
- Work closely with Life Sciences PE leadership and digital solution teams to develop tools and applications for internal and client-related topics
