The Environmental Strategy & Compliance Intern at Cummins will engage in projects focused on sustainability, risk management, and technical talent strategy. Interns will lead capstone projects, contribute to strategic initiatives, and provide administrative support while gaining exposure to various disciplines within the company.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, etc.)
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for innovation, sustainability, and cross-functional teamwork
Responsibilities
- Lead 1–2 end-to-end projects involving research, analysis, and solution design
- Present findings and recommendations to project sponsors and TES leadership
- Contribute to 2–4 short-term initiatives sponsored by TES leaders or subject matter experts
- Collaborate across disciplines such as Sustainability, AI, Talent Strategy, and more
- Assist with select administrative tasks that offer meaningful learning and exposure
- Support documentation, scheduling, and coordination efforts
- Participate in TES core training and tailored sessions aligned with project needs
- Engage with mentors, buddies, and TES leaders through structured interactions
