Rivian is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to enhance Product Development efficiency through scalable AI tools. This role involves collaborating with senior technical staff to automate workflows, build predictive models, and deploy AI applications, all while focusing on the engineering processes for electric vehicles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
- 0-4 years of experience building production data pipelines and developing AI/ML solutions (LLM-based applications preferred)
- High level of programming proficiency in Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience or deep academic exposure to LLM orchestration and application concepts
- Ability to extract, clean, and structure data from technical documents
- Demonstrated experience with version control (Git)
- Prior experience or interest in physical engineering systems (Hardware, IoT, or Telemetry)
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior technical staff to build and orchestrate agentic AI workflows and LLM-powered systems
- Develop and maintain specialized data structures required for AI applications
- Lead rapid technical trials to evaluate emerging AI techniques
- Build hands-on tools from early prototypes to production-ready solutions
- Define and monitor quantitative performance requirements for AI tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify and automate manual engineering workflows
