Job Description

This position in the IT Operations team focuses on maintaining and improving workstation standards for Tesla's global endpoint fleet. The role involves troubleshooting endpoint systems, collaborating with security teams, and ensuring compliance with policy guidelines while supporting Tesla's IT infrastructure.

Requirements

3+ years’ experience in client endpoint engineering
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Proficient with in-depth technical troubleshooting of Linux client endpoints
Experience packaging software, updates, and patches for Linux client endpoints
Experience implementing and managing platform tools such as Puppet, Ansible, etc.
Experience configuring and managing CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.
Experience automating Linux client endpoint OS deployment workflows
Experience in one or more modern scripting languages (Ex: Python, Bash, Shell, PowerShell)
Exposure to Microsoft Services and Environments (Intune, SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager, AzureAD, Microsoft365, Windows Client and Server OS)

Responsibilities

Maintain and periodically review Linux client endpoint management platform infrastructure design and operations
Maintain client management platform availability using monitoring tools and respond to operational risks
Engineer, pilot, and implement upgrades to client device provisioning workflows
Create and maintain application packages and scripts for client provisioning operations
Work with security teams to maintain and update client security baselines
Maintain and enforce standardized client fleet hardware and software configurations
Serve as Linux client endpoint subject matter expert for technical support teams
Collaborate with business teams to evaluate and implement innovative solutions
Create and maintain documentation for client management platform design and workflows
