This role focuses on network security engineering within a global enterprise environment, specializing in firewall and partner VPN services. The engineer will ensure compliance with established system architecture and security policies while collaborating with various teams to implement and maintain networking solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience mid-large global enterprise networking infrastructure
- Extensive experience in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, QOS, VLAN, ACL, application flow, NAC, and infrastructure cabling
- Extensive experience with IPSEC VPN, Firewall Zones and Policies
- Extensive experience with multi-vendor firewall technologies including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Juniper SRX
- Extensive experience with multi-vendor switching technologies including Juniper EX, Cisco Catalyst, and Fortinet
- Experience with low voltage CAT6, Fiber, & IT Room layout and environmental
- Experience with troubleshooting with circuit carriers
- Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, IPAM, RADIUS, Splunk, NetBox, Grafana
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Staff Network Engineers on design and initiatives
- Maintain current network solution within partners
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on partner requirements gathering, analyze, and propose solution to networking needs
- Provision, implement, test/validation, and maintain networking services per solution design
- Discipline on following change request process
- Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services
- Document network knowledgebase and operational 'Run-Book'
- Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidays
- Onsite in Fremont Factory Monday to Friday Day Shift
