Apple is seeking a Wireless System Engineer to drive the performance and integration of advanced wireless communication algorithms within custom silicon. The role involves translating complex algorithmic concepts into optimized system functionality, focusing on the lifecycle of wireless algorithms from design to deployment.
Requirements
- MSEE or PhD degrees
- Experience designing firmware-based algorithms involving MAC-PHY interactions and SW based PHY configurations and implement codes in Python and in firmware
- Experience with pre-silicon validation using emulation and FPGA prototyping tools and methodologies
- Experience in designing test plans and working with automation/test engineers to implement the same, collect and analyze test results, identify and debug issues
- Proficiency in utilizing wireless test lab equipment for system characterization, debugging, and root cause analysis of complex communication issues
- Strong understanding of measurement principles and their practical application
Responsibilities
- Responsible for physical layer system design, integration, & characterization of state-of-the-art wireless SoC products
- Drive end-to-end performance and seamless integration of advanced PHY wireless communication algorithms
- Translate sophisticated algorithmic concepts into highly optimized, real-world system functionality
- Focus on the complete lifecycle of wireless algorithms from design, implementation, integration, and deployment to the final product
