The Video Computer Vision organization at Apple is seeking a talented engineer to develop computer vision algorithms for augmented reality and device localization. The role involves collaboration with software development and machine learning teams to create impactful technologies that enhance user experiences.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in computer vision, machine learning, robotics, or related fields.
- Understanding of visual inertial sensor fusion or general sensor fusion is a plus.
- Experience in developing, training and tuning ML models related to the above areas is a plus.
- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry or academia experience.
- Programming skills with C++.
- Foundation in computer vision; key areas of interest include multiple view geometry, 3D computer vision, SfM (Structure from Motion) and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping).
Responsibilities
- Create computer vision algorithms and deliver technologies with applications to augmented reality and device localization.
- Work closely with Apple’s designers to ensure products resonate with users.
- Core technology algorithm development in support of future user experiences.
- Communicate with and support external teams that use our algorithms.
- Support low-level, cross-platform efforts.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Advocate for high quality results within the team.
