The Client Success Specialist role at McKinsey involves leading post-sales engagement, optimizing client onboarding processes, and managing ongoing client activities. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions, build relationships with clients, and drive product adoption while delivering thought leadership and addressing client needs.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic record; MBA/graduate degree a plus
- 5+ years of account management, client relationship management or pre-sales experience in a consultative product or services environment; prior consulting experience desirable but not required
- Experience with SaaS, CRM and/or digital products is required; experience in project management, program management or change management is desirable
- Relationship management skills; able to manage key stakeholders, both internally and with clients
- Strong entrepreneurial drive and sense of ownership with a keen interest in proactively building McKinsey’s Wave solution
- Commitment to delivering exceptional results
- A proactive desire to solve new problems and a coachable attitude
- Readiness to experiment, radiate learnings, and build playbooks from such iteration to further scale impact
- Clear oral and written communication skills to present complex value propositions to senior client executives
- The role may require up to 30% travel time during some seasons of the year
Responsibilities
- Lead post-sales engagement and collaborate with client development, operations, and advisory teams
- Optimize onboarding processes, training, communications, and user adoption strategies
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and internal teams
- Proactively deliver client engagement activities such as workshops, trainings, and strategic outreach
- Address and lead the resolution of issues related to adoption, business operations, and client relationships
- Deliver thought leadership by staying abreast of client needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings
- Lead the contract extension and renewal process, serving as the main point of contact for contractual and billing matters
