As a member of the AMD CPU Architecture Team, you will leverage your software engineering skills and CPU design knowledge to develop and maintain tools that stress AMD’s processors. Your work will enhance performance and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements based on user feedback.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C/C++ and x86 assembly in a Linux environment.
- Solid understanding of x86 CPU architecture and instruction sets.
- Experience with silicon bring-up, validation, and debugging.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain stress tools for AMD CPUs.
- Collaborate with CPU design teams to understand and target functionality of micro-architectural features.
- Provide training and documentation to support tool usage across teams.
- Address issues and implement improvements based on user feedback and testing results.
- Participate in CPU micro-benchmarking and silicon validation efforts.
- Work with debug and design teams to identify root causes and resolve issues.
