Arcadis is seeking a Water Wastewater Project Engineer to provide technical expertise and leadership in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The role involves managing water/wastewater engineering projects, including design, analysis, and construction administration, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring project compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or a related field of study.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License or ability to obtain in 6 months.
- 8 years of relevant water/wastewater experience (preferred).
- Experience in design or consulting engineering or Municipal work environment (preferred).
- Project task leadership experience including managing overall project delivery expectations (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, design, permit and support management of projects for water/wastewater and conveyance.
- Support professional engineering services during construction including construction observation and review of shop drawings.
- Oversee the development of design calculations, technical report sections, technical design drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials while participating in client meetings.
- Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and maintain quality, health, and safety standards.
- Facilitate coordination for timely project completion within budget constraints.
- Supervise and support the work of others, mentoring junior-level engineering and design/drafting staff.
