Arcadis is seeking Traffic and Intelligent Transportation Interns for Summer 2024 in their Akorn, OH office. The role involves assisting in traffic studies, data analysis, and developing traffic simulation models, providing a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the transportation industry.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in civil or transportation engineering
- Prior internship experience (preferred)
- Experience/familiarity with CAD, Synchro, VISSIM &/or Sidra (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting traffic studies and identifying operational and safety needs
- Prepare plans and assist with CAV corridor planning
- Conduct safety and operational analysis for intersections and corridors
- Develop traffic simulation models using platforms such as Synchro, VISSIM, and Sidra
- Perform CAD assignments, including the creation of engineering documents and figures
- Collaborate with other disciplines such as survey, roadway design, and environmental
