Arcadis is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineering Project Manager to lead traffic engineering and intelligent transportation systems across the U.S. The role involves delivering sustainable mobility solutions while addressing challenges like climate change and urban growth.
Requirements
- Previous experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
- Degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer license in Tennessee or ability to obtain; valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Experience with traffic analysis tools and field implementation of traffic signals.
- Professional credentials related to traffic, transportation, or operations research are a plus.
- Familiarity with design and mapping software and guidance documents.
- Experience with state or local transportation projects.
- Exposure to field audits, traffic sign and pavement marking design, or traffic signal field testing.
- Knowledge of local agency processes and permit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead traffic operations, safety initiatives, travel demand analysis, and ITS design on small to mid-size projects.
- Conduct microsimulation and operational analyses to inform decisions.
- Develop signal timing plans, input data for centralized and local control systems, and design signing, pavement markings, and ITS layouts.
- Mentor junior staff and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Support operations and maintenance policies and their implementation for integrated corridor management.
