Arcadis is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineering Director for their California Water Business. This role involves leading innovative mechanical design for water and wastewater projects, collaborating with a supportive team to deliver solutions for municipal and private sector clients.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 10 years of relevant experience in process mechanical engineering for water and wastewater facilities
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of California
- Mechanical or Civil P.E. preferred
- 15+ years of relevant experience in process mechanical engineering for water and wastewater facilities preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead innovative mechanical design and process integration for treatment facilities, reservoirs, and pumping stations
- Develop comprehensive construction documents and detailed specifications for mechanical systems
- Establish the basis of design and complete in-depth calculations
- Perform thorough assessments and accurately size and select equipment
- Develop and evaluate design options with accurate cost estimates
- Prepare technical memoranda to document rationale and recommendations
- Ensure seamless coordination among various engineering disciplines
- Conduct hydraulic analyses and develop process flow narratives
- Participate in project management activities such as budget and schedule tracking
- Support business development efforts and contribute to proposals
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality control reviews
