Netflix is seeking an ambitious Software Engineer to join the Model Development and Management team, focusing on building a self-serve user interface layer for machine learning models. The role involves collaborating with applied researchers and data scientists to enhance model development for personalization use cases while contributing to open-source projects.
Requirements
- Experience developing platform solutions tailored for ML Researchers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists, emphasizing a user-first approach.
- Excellent software design and development skills in Python along with one of Scala, Java, C++.
- Experience working with state-of-the-art ML model development in domains such as recommendation model development, content understanding, or content generation.
- Broad understanding of core machine learning concepts and their application in large-scale, real-world machine-learning systems.
- 5+ years of full-time software engineering or machine learning experience with a bachelor's and master's degree; or PhD degree.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements, design, and implement products that help accelerate model development for personalization use cases.
- Engage with the ML community to source feedback, identify pain points, and evolve Metaflow and the Machine Learning Platform.
- Partner with the OSS Metaflow development community to ensure a mutually beneficial roadmap and relationship.
