As an Amazon Logistics Operations Engineer, you will manage cross-functional projects to develop and deliver advanced sortation and distribution solutions. This role involves planning and implementing facility network infrastructure while ensuring high standards in project execution and stakeholder collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
- Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems
- 2+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
Responsibilities
- Work independently with internal and external teams to manage the lifecycle of challenging projects
- Participate in engineering reviews and impact proposed solutions
- Partner with teams and vendors to set project priorities and drive schedules
- Lead execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs
- Lead effective meetings and document discussions and decisions
- Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans
- Articulate system and equipment designs to internal customers
- Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validations
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple projects
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
- Travel up to 80% domestically
