Job Description

Netflix is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage a team responsible for the runtime portion of their Cloud Compute group. This role involves enabling efficient and reliable container operations on compute nodes, while collaborating with various teams to meet business needs and drive innovation.

Requirements

  • A product-focused leader who understands what customers want and has a passion for building platforms.
  • A deeply technical manager who understands the development & management of distributed systems and at-scale software services.
  • Experience building and operating complex distributed systems at scale in the cloud-compute domain.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes or other systems for distributed compute orchestration.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compute platform capabilities and drive adoption across Netflix with a focus on engineering excellence.
  • Build, scale, and mentor a cohesive team of amazing engineers.
  • Form strong cross-functional partnerships driven by trust to achieve alignment with many engineering teams.
  • Own a roadmap of proactive improvements to stay ahead of business needs.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
