Job Description

Amazon Game Studios is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead a new Publishing Tech Team focused on cloud-native gaming for Luna. The role involves defining the technical vision for the publishing technology platform, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with external game developers to ensure high-quality game releases.

Requirements

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
4+ years of Games Industry experience
Experience with Unity, Unreal, CryEngine, Lumberyard or equivalent technology

Responsibilities

Define and own the technical vision and architecture for the publishing technology platform
Champion AI-powered gameplay innovation using AWS Bedrock and proprietary AI solutions
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external game development partners
Partner with Luna platform and other Amazon teams to integrate cutting-edge technology
Ensure all games meet Amazon's quality bar and technical certification requirements
Mentor and grow engineers on the team; establish technical standards and best practices
Stay current with game development technologies and emerging AI capabilities
