Job Description

Amazon Game Studios is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead a new Publishing Tech Team focused on cloud-native gaming for Luna. The role involves defining the technical vision for the publishing technology platform, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with external game developers to ensure high-quality game releases.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • 4+ years of Games Industry experience
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal, CryEngine, Lumberyard or equivalent technology

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the technical vision and architecture for the publishing technology platform
  • Champion AI-powered gameplay innovation using AWS Bedrock and proprietary AI solutions
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external game development partners
  • Partner with Luna platform and other Amazon teams to integrate cutting-edge technology
  • Ensure all games meet Amazon's quality bar and technical certification requirements
  • Mentor and grow engineers on the team; establish technical standards and best practices
  • Stay current with game development technologies and emerging AI capabilities
