Job Description

As a Senior Power and Performance Engineer at Intel, you will focus on the execution of power and performance measurements, analysis, and projections for unlaunched notebook and desktop products. Your role involves collaborating with various teams to debug issues, influence marketing strategies, and guide OEM customers through product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a post-silicon environment or system architecture/CPU micro-architecture or system engineering.
  • Knowledge of x86 CPU uarch is a plus.
  • Understanding of standard benchmarks and ability to analyze performance.
  • Familiarity with industry benchmarks is a plus (e.g., Procyon, SPEC CPU, WebXPRT, Cinebench, Geekbench, MobileMark, 3DMark, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ITP/JTAG scripts, board bring up, power measurements with DAQ is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, analyze, and debug workloads to identify power and/or performance gaps.
  • Measure and analyze SoC/CPU and platform power on a rail by rail basis.
  • Align with internal engineering teams and architects on power and performance projections.
  • Guide and influence internal teams on power and performance positioning of Intel products.
  • Create power and performance estimates for upcoming Intel products.
  • Own the publication of the Power Performance Guide (PPG) collateral.
  • Bring up full test platform for power and performance measurements.
