Job Description

eero is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to provide security expertise and strategic guidance across its solutions ecosystem. This role involves partnering with software development teams to maintain high security standards while delivering innovative services that protect homes and businesses.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of at least two of the following programming languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go
  • 3+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security
  • 3+ years of experience in application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 2+ years of IT Security experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud and web security

Responsibilities

  • Analyze application code for security vulnerabilities
  • Build tools and frameworks that help developers work more securely and efficiently
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into new service architectures
  • Conduct comprehensive security reviews
  • Collaborate with product managers to balance security requirements with user experiences
