Microsoft is seeking an Education Engineering Manager for its Copilot Education team in Mountain View. The role involves leading high-performing teams to develop innovative AI-powered education technology, focusing on consumer-facing features like study modes and quiz generation. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (preferred).
- 5+ years people management experience (preferred).
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are comfortable making progress in ambiguity (preferred).
- Enjoy working closely with cross-functional partners and teammates in an inclusive, curious culture (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Hire, manage, and lead a team of software engineers responsible for delivering high-performance.
- Drive the development of innovative, consumer-facing AI features such as study & learn modes and quiz generation.
- Work on products with real emotional resonance.
- Collaborate with Eng, Design and Product leadership to prioritize features and deliver a world-class AI companion.
- Drive implementation of features and systems, breaking down long-term goals into clear milestones.
- Align with release plans and ensure cross-team coordination.
