Arcadis is seeking a Resident Engineer (RE) in Los Angeles to oversee construction contracts and ensure compliance with contract documents. The role involves monitoring construction progress, conducting inspections, and managing project documentation while collaborating with contractors and various agencies.
Requirements
- Approximately ten (10) years of experience in Construction or Construction Management of Heavy Civil Engineering projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or another related field.
- Registration as an EIT.
- Valid California Class C driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction to CMSS and contractor staff to ensure complete, accurate, and timely contract records.
- Monitor contractors regarding compliance with plans and quality of work.
- Set up Pre-Construction Meetings and participate in weekly status meetings.
- Perform inspection in all phases of contract construction.
- Develop workable and effective solutions to field issues and contract deficiencies.
- Review CPM schedules and identify project risks.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely project records.
- Assist in assuring complete submittal of contract’s monthly progress pay estimates.
- Review shop drawings and assist in constructability reviews.
