Job Description

As a Business Intelligence Engineer at Amazon, you will extract insights from large datasets to support data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop scalable solutions and automate reporting processes, leveraging AI to uncover business opportunities and enhance performance.

Requirements

10+ years of professional or military experience
5+ years of SQL experience
1+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience
1+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience
1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience
1+ years of developing automated reporting experience
Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Responsibilities

Gather and translate business requirements into scalable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture
Design, develop and establish KPIs to monitor analysis and provide strategic insights to drive growth and performance of our products
Work with large data sets, automate data extraction, and build monitoring/reporting dashboards and high value, self-service automated BI solutions
Report key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines that impact the business
Collaborate with data engineering and product management team to develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity
