The Packaging EPM Manager leads a team of program managers to enhance the customer unboxing experience. This role combines technical expertise in packaging technologies with organizational leadership, overseeing project execution from concept to mass production while managing cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience, with specific experience in packaging or mechanical product design
- 3+ years of direct people management experience (leading teams of PMs or Engineers)
- Proven track record of managing complex hardware development cycles
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Engineering Program Managers; provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee the allocation of resources across multiple projects to ensure bandwidth aligns with aggressive quality, schedule, and cost goals
- Drive strategic alignment and facilitate communication across engineering and cross functional leadership
- Own creation and drive alignment with cross functional partners on packaging roadmap; drive execution of committed roadmap
- Identify systemic risks across the packaging portfolio; develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution
- Define and refine best practices for project schedules, build planning, and cross-functional workflows
- Manage relationships with external vendors and OEM partners to ensure support for development builds and mass production
