The role involves modeling and optimizing various system components, conducting system-level signal integrity simulations, and improving SI models based on lab data. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with minimum 2+ years of industry experience.
- Strong technical background in applied electromagnetics, transmission line theory, and signal processing.
- Experience with signaling standards like PCI express, USB, SATA, HDMI, HBM, DDR5, GDDR6, LPDDR5X.
- Hands-on use of 3-D modeling tools like ANSYS HFSS/Q3D and 2.5-D with ANSYS SIWAVE.
- Familiarity with system-level timing or loss budget including silicon, package, and board impairments.
- Experience with VNA, TDR, DSO, ParBERT, and tools like ADS, Ansys Designer, JMP, Matlab, Cadence Allegro.
Responsibilities
- Craft creative Signal Integrity solutions to complex system design problems.
- Model and optimize vias, connectors, sockets, breakouts, and various system components in 3D EM tools.
- Conduct system-level signal integrity simulations of high-speed NVlink 200Gbs+, USB-4, PCIe5, GDDR6, LP5X, and other interfaces.
- Continuously improve SI models using data from lab measurements and modeling tool/methodology updates.
- Create, review, and perform post-layout SI extractions for substrate and board layout SI guidelines.
- Automate simulations, gather data, and analyze and visualize results using JMP, MATLAB, or similar tools.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts.
