Job Description

The module development dimensional metrology engineer focuses on technology development for high volume manufacturing and future technologies. This role involves process integration, equipment solutions, and feasibility studies to meet device specifications, while also leading the design and development of sophisticated manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, chemistry, physics, material engineering, electrical engineering, or related STEM field with 5+ years of experience OR
  • Master’s degree in applied sciences, chemistry, physics, material engineering, electrical engineering, or related STEM field with 3+ years of experience OR
  • Ph.D. in applied sciences, chemistry, physics, material engineering, electrical engineering, or related STEM field with 1+ years of experience
  • Demonstrate solid technical expertise in in-line process metrology or closely related fields
  • Show proficiency with metrology technologies including ellipsometry, X-ray metrology, Optical/WLI thin film measurement, AFM or any other metrology measurement techniques

Responsibilities

  • Drive technology development and enablement for high volume manufacturing and future technology
  • Provide process integration and equipment solutions
  • Perform feasibility studies to meet desired device specifications
  • Lead design and development of manufacturing processes and repair reverse engineering
  • Recommend and implement modifications for operating equipment to improve production efficiency
  • Partner with key equipment and materials suppliers to develop and implement enabling elements of the technology
  • Perform process technology feasibility studies through theoretical simulations and/or practical engineering methods
  • Remain updated on relevant industrial process and material manufacturing technical trends
