Job Description

Rivian is seeking a staff engineer to lead integration efforts and HIL testing of embedded software for the Electric Power Conversion team. The role involves improving technical excellence and ensuring high-quality software deliverables while collaborating with various teams.

Requirements

  • Over 8 years of diverse experience in embedded software development, software integration, and testing for electric vehicles.
  • Project management experience with proven results.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and tools for complex software development, including Continuous Testing/Continuous Integration (CT/CI).
  • Familiarity with electrical vehicle ECU interfaces and tools.
  • Experience with at least one software testing platform, including HIL tests, unit tests, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate EPC software interfaces and related functionalities with other ECUs and devices.
  • Integration of EPC software with the manufacturing process.
  • Leverage telemetry and remote debugging tools for field visibility and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate platform software changes into EPC embedded software by interfacing with the platform software team.
  • Develop HIL test cases for controls and software development.
  • Provide development test support for EPC control and software development.
  • Improve test coverage to fulfill software functional and safety-related requirements.
  • Perform regression tests, report bugs, provide debugging support, and provide development validation testing for the team.
  • Upgrade and maintain the HIL test stations and other related lab equipment.
