Arcadis is seeking a Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join their Power Delivery team. The role involves coordinating and developing power system studies, including HVAC and HVDC planning, for clients primarily in North America. The position requires collaboration with various engineering departments and may involve travel to client sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience with power system study analysis and planning
- Proficient with the PSS®E software package, including load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability analysis
- Familiar with key North American Market Operators' policies and regulations related to grid interconnection and planning
Responsibilities
- Support, develop, and deliver complex power system study & planning projects
- Perform and review power systems analysis activities including load-flow, short-circuit, and transient stability analysis
- Conduct planning/system performance studies for compliance with standards and good engineering practice
- Deliver accurate planning, studies, system design, and client deliverables that meet industry standards
- Responsible for QA on client reports and deliverables
- Coordinate with other Arcadis Business Units for cross selling and staffing opportunities
