Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to join their Power Delivery & Renewable team. This senior role involves managing technical and project management assignments, ensuring project execution aligns with codes and standards, and collaborating with various teams to enhance power system planning and studies for utility and developer clients in North America.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Power System Planning and Studies
- Experience with key North American US Market Operators (i.e. MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, ERCOT, CAISO, SPP)
- Proficient with PSCAD and PSS®E software package
- PE License certification is required
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow System Planning & Studies team
- Perform and coordinate HVAC and HVDC power systems analysis activities
- Lead the development of enhanced power system planning & studies processes
- Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager, and Technical Lead
- Serve as a mentor to junior members of the team
- Work with Power Delivery & Renewables Leader to develop client development plans
