Arcadis is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer to join their Resilience Water Construction Management team for a design-build resiliency project in lower Manhattan. The role involves coordinating between design and construction teams, ensuring project execution, safety, and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree related to Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Professional Engineer - New York (active)
- Experience with large-scale municipal water resiliency and flood protection projects
- Prior involvement in NYC construction projects
- Professional certifications such as DBIA or CCM are highly preferred
- Proficiency with scheduling and CAD software
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main liaison between Arcadis design teams and contractors, managing day-to-day communication and addressing field inquiries
- Represent Arcadis in meetings with contractors, clients, local agencies, and community stakeholders
- Coordinate responses to contractor RFIs, review shop drawings, and organize periodic field visits
- Oversee the collection and management of field documentation and prepare reports
- Monitor site safety, ensure compliance with permit conditions, and supervise construction management staff
