Job description

Apple is seeking a Financial Analyst for its Corporate FP&A Balance Sheet and Cash Flow team. This role involves developing forecasts, analyzing financial data, and presenting insights to senior leadership, while collaborating across functions to enhance forecasting processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, forecasting, planning, or analytical roles
  • BS or BA in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with Python and/or SQL
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze forecasts for senior leadership, explaining the business drivers behind key movements
  • Assess how macroeconomic trends and business performance impact Apple’s balance sheet and cash flow
  • Build and refine assumptions related to working capital and other balance sheet line items
  • Translate P&L changes into meaningful balance sheet and cash flow implications
  • Partner cross-functionally to gather inputs and improve forecasting processes
  • Present analysis to leadership, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
  • Identify opportunities to improve team processes and operating efficiency
  • Use tools such as Excel, Tableau, Python, and SQL to improve analytical efficiency and forecast accuracy
