The Senior Electrical Engineer position in Conshohocken, PA involves leading electrical design projects for clean rooms and life sciences facilities. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; MS, PE license, and/or LEED Accreditation preferred.
- 7–10+ years of electrical design experience in facility design and construction for clean rooms, laboratories, biotech, pharma, or life sciences industries.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Deep knowledge of NEC, electrical safety codes, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Proven expertise in developing and designing low and medium voltage power distribution systems.
- Proficient with various electrical calculations and software packages (Revit, AutoCAD, SKM Power Tools, etc.).
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Self-motivated with professional initiative.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design projects from concept through construction.
- Collaborate closely with project leads, MEP disciplines, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop and design medium and low voltage power distribution system schemes.
- Complete electrical distribution equipment sizing, selection, and technical specifications.
- Create and maintain detailed electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Perform electrical calculations focusing on optimizing system reliability and safety.
- Follow completed designs into construction ensuring code compliant installation.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement innovative solutions.
