Job Description

Join KLA's FaST Division to lead the development of next-generation optical systems, transforming ambitious concepts into working prototypes. You will collaborate with world-class suppliers and tackle real-world customer applications, driving market impact through innovative technologies.

Requirements

  • Great foundation in 2 of the following skills; Physical Optics, lasers, plasma sources, detectors, or image sensors
  • Deep understanding of hardware technologies and systems engineering
  • Proven hands-on experience developing and prototyping sophisticated electro-optical setups
  • Skilled in working with leading suppliers to develop sophisticated components and subsystems
  • Expertise in system modeling, error budgeting, and performance analysis
  • Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for data analysis and experimentation
  • Hard-working and adaptable—comfortable navigating ambiguity with minimal direction
  • Collaborative mentality with the ability to lead small teams and drive execution
  • Experience defining work plans, DOEs, and test strategies
  • Confident communicator who can lead technical reviews and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of next-generation optical systems from concept to prototype
  • Architect sophisticated systems and build/test groundbreaking setups
  • Collaborate with suppliers to bring sophisticated components to life
  • Define system specs through analysis and solve performance challenges
  • Work multi-functionally to deliver breakthrough solutions.
