Requirements
- Great foundation in 2 of the following skills; Physical Optics, lasers, plasma sources, detectors, or image sensors
- Deep understanding of hardware technologies and systems engineering
- Proven hands-on experience developing and prototyping sophisticated electro-optical setups
- Skilled in working with leading suppliers to develop sophisticated components and subsystems
- Expertise in system modeling, error budgeting, and performance analysis
- Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for data analysis and experimentation
- Hard-working and adaptable—comfortable navigating ambiguity with minimal direction
- Collaborative mentality with the ability to lead small teams and drive execution
- Experience defining work plans, DOEs, and test strategies
- Confident communicator who can lead technical reviews and influence decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of next-generation optical systems from concept to prototype
- Architect sophisticated systems and build/test groundbreaking setups
- Collaborate with suppliers to bring sophisticated components to life
- Define system specs through analysis and solve performance challenges
- Work multi-functionally to deliver breakthrough solutions.
