The Systems Design Engineer will join a dynamic team focused on developing advanced laser sources, particularly in designing and building lasers and Optical Parametric Oscillators. This role requires expertise in laser cavity design, optics, and non-linear conversion processes, along with hands-on skills in modeling and optimization techniques.
Requirements
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree in Lasers, Non Linear Optics, Photonics
- 1-5 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of more than 5 years
- Deep knowledge of laser cavity design and implementation
- Experience with optics design using Zemax
- Programming skills in Matlab or Python
Responsibilities
- Develop challenging laser sources and Optical Parametric Oscillators
- Design and build lasers with an emphasis on shorter wavelengths
- Implement laser cavity designs and non-linear conversion processes
- Understand and develop models for conversion efficiency and optimization techniques
- Conduct tolerance analysis for laser systems
