Job Description

Apple is seeking Applications Engineers for the Photos app on the Apple Vision Pro, a revolutionary spatial computer. The role involves working with cutting-edge AR/VR technology to create innovative experiences for users' personal content, collaborating closely with framework teams and Human Interface designers.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Apple technologies: SwiftUI, UIKit, ARKit, Metal, RealityKit.
  • Proficiency in iOS development practices.
  • Experience in 3D Graphics, Real Time Graphics, or 3D Math.
  • Experience building AR/VR apps either professionally or personally.
  • Interest or proficiency in UI/UX design.
  • Interest in photography or videography.
  • 3+ years experience in software development.
  • Experience building complex applications that are functional, beautiful and delightful.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for spatial computing.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a highly cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in an application programming language, such as Swift, Objective-C, C/C++.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the Photos app for Apple Vision Pro, enhancing user experience with personal photos and videos.
  • Collaborate with Apple's framework teams and Human Interface designers to solve challenging problems in AR/VR.
  • Utilize technologies such as RealityKit, SwiftUI, and ARKit to create deeply integrated applications.
