The HealthKit team at Apple is looking for an exceptional engineering manager to lead efforts in evolving HealthKit to support a growing variety of health data. This role involves managing a talented team of software engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience across Apple platforms.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience including Apple platform technologies like iOS & macOS frameworks, Swift/Objective-C, Xcode, etc
- 3+ years managing engineering teams that design complex software systems
- Strong organizational skills and experience working on large multi-functional teams
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and design skills
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional projects that have had a tangible impact on the direction of the org
Responsibilities
- Leading the investigation, analysis and development of engineering work in HealthKit to support growing demands on the framework by increase customer use
- Managing a highly talented team of software engineers
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage various hardware and systems constraints to ensure HealthKit scales to meet ongoing challenges
- Working with leaders across Health SW and Apple to deliver a phenomenal user experience
