As a Precision Cleaning Manufacturing Engineer at KLA, you will develop and optimize ultra-precision cleaning processes for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role involves collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure cleanliness standards and system performance, while also introducing new cleaning methods and technologies.
Requirements
- Experience as a manufacturing or process engineer supporting complex capital equipment in ultra-clean environments.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understand bills of materials (BOMs).
- Proven technical writing, documentation, and cross-functional interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on experience with ultrasonic cleaning systems, plasma cleaning hardware, and residual gas analyzers (RGA).
- Experience working in ultra-clean vacuum environments.
- Knowledge of UV optical component cleanliness and cleaning practices.
- Experience applying SPC or similar methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new processes from concept through production ramp.
Responsibilities
- Own the development, optimization, and sustainment of ultra-precision cleaning processes.
- Qualify and support precision cleaning equipment and processes to meet cleanliness requirements.
- Partner closely with Design, Process, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
- Lead the introduction of new cleaning methods and technologies.
- Train and support manufacturing personnel in the use and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cleanliness and system performance.
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation and work instructions.
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve cleaning process capability.
