NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Development Engineering to lead the Photonics Product Development team. This role involves guiding a team in bringing next-generation silicon photonics technologies from validation through high-volume production, focusing on innovative optical interconnect solutions for AI and high-performance computing systems.
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- More than 10 years of overall experience in semiconductor or photonics product development, validation, or manufacturing engineering.
- 3+ years of technical leadership or management experience leading engineering teams.
- Solid grasp of silicon photonics devices, optical components, and analog/mixed-signal circuit behavior.
- Experience with high-speed optical testing, RF characterization, and electro-optical measurements.
- Proven experience in yield analysis, product characterization, and silicon debug.
- Experience using statistical data analysis tools (e.g., JMP) for engineering insights and yield improvement.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting for validation, data analysis, and test infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional problem solving under aggressive schedules.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a group of product development engineers responsible for validation, characterization, and production ramp of silicon photonics devices and optical transceiver products.
- Drive product development strategy from early silicon validation through qualification and high-volume manufacturing.
- Develop and implement validation methodologies and test strategies for new photonic and mixed-signal silicon builds.
- Partner closely with Mixed-Signal Build, Test Engineering, Reliability, Packaging and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
- Coordinate optical, electro-optical, and mixed-signal characterization of new photonic integrated circuit (PIC) designs.
